Tea Party: Ass Over Tea Kettle

The gigantic blind spot of the Tea Party movement starts with their inability to discern between Industrial Capital and Finance Capital. Industrial Capital is productive and is what built the USA. Finance Capital is parasitic and is destroying America. Unable to tell the difference greased the skids for the Neocon takeover of the Tea Party. It was easy pickings.

Gore Vidal once dubbed the USofA as the United States of Amnesia. In practice this has meant that the denizens of the Tea Party are totally ignorant of the the only REAL alternative to the Nude Eel presented by Father Coughlin and others of like mind.

If Father Coughlin seems a bit obscure, then go back to our origins as an independent Republic. Begin with the most brilliant of the Founding Fathers who was Alexander Hamilton and NOT Thomas Jefferson. Follow the trail through Henry Clay, leading directly to Abraham Lincoln.

We’re talking about the classic Federalist-Whig program of economic protectionism, national control of banking and government-sponsored infrastructure development to stimulate economic growth. We’re also speaking of the economic ideas of Friedrich List. Among our pundits, only Pat Buchanan seems to know who he is today.

We labor today under a veritable Dictatorship of Finance-Capital. They have a stranglehold on the Federal government. Back in the 1930s, Lawrence Dennis identified the suicidal folly of letting the Investment Banking Houses determine our economic priorities. The ultimate folly came during the Reagan Regime when the great American industrial base was strip-mined and shipped to China. That’s more than folly, that’s treason. Yet Reagan is a Tea Party hero! Figure that one out.

Tea Party denizens are unable to identify the system we actually labor under, which is neither ‘free enterprise’ nor ‘socialism’, but rather a species of oligarchical collectivism.

They are truly ass over tea kettle.
