Right now there’s a big disconnect. The Neo-Con Cabal is maneuvering the Obama Regime into War with Iran while the American majority mud wrestles at the bottom. Bread & circuses on the cheap.
Couch Potato America thinks a particular politician or party has done them wrong. The Tea Party fizzles and Republicans are poised for a big comeback.
Few Americans reach the conclusion that the system is rotten to the core. So they lay back on the couch, roll with punch after punch. They acquiesce in watching the system continue in its collapse while it picks their pockets for as long as possible.
The latest go-round started in the waning days of the Bush-Cheney Junta with the presentation of the TARP bailout. Americans should have risen en masse. They didn’t; they were punch drunk already. The Tea Party Movement, intellectually feeble as it was, didn’t rear its head until the dirty deed was done.
When Obama retained Robert Gates at the Pentagon and essentially continued with the Bush economic team, the Left Gate-Keepers should have puked up the Kool-Aid and broke with Obama.
While it’s tempting to say we need to take a cattle prod to the Couch Potatoes, that won’t work. It’d be akin to whipping an old nag horse.
We need to build a Vanguard out of the Creative Class.
